Info: Eastbourne Heritage Centre, group discounts, conference facilities and room hire,

Step back into Eastbourne’s past and take a look at life from the 1800s through to the present day illustrated by maps, pictures and artefacts.

The Eastbourne Heritage Centre, once known as Park Cottage, is a fine example of Victorian architecture in Eastbourne and was the home of the manager of the Devonshire Baths which adjoined Park Cottage. Dedicated volunteers and historians fought for its preservation.

Today it is run by the Eastbourne Society and discounts are available for pre-booked groups.

If you become a member of the Eastbourne Society - www.eastbournesociety.co.uk - you are entitled to free access to the Heritage Centre all year around.

The cinema room (room for hire, conference venue with conference facilities) - NEW for this season! Is showing a variety of interesting heritage movies, please allow at least a full hour for your visit.

The Heritage Centre in Eastbourne welcomes special visits, whether you are a school, a visiting social society, a business, or on a busman's holiday, the Heritage Centre welcomes you to book us for a private visit.

We are available for private bookings from 10am to 1pm throughout the Open Season
(ending 28 October 2011), where you can request either the Centre be just opened
for you, or can be given a conducted guided tour throughout the exhibitions, with
your very own personal explanation of the evolution of Eastbourne.

And, although our closed period begins at the end of October, we are still available
for private bookings of the Centre, and for use of the new state-of-the-art audio
visual room (The Cinema Room) on our lower ground floor.

Meeting and conference room hire in the Cinema Room: Eastbourne Heritage Centre offers seating for up to 36 delegates and offers DVD, HDMI, 5.1 Dolby surround sound and live internet connection conference facilities. The Cinema Room is available for private hire at £15 per hour, outside of the opening times of the Centre to the public.

A perfect Eastbourne venue to host the small cinema experience.

We can also provide simple catering, such as wine, soft drinks, sandwiches and
other nibbles for your venue.

We host school and eductaional tours regularly, and now extend the Centre for
use throughout the year.
